**About the role**

The Surveying business in Rockdale is currently looking to recruit 03 Survey Assistants to join their team. In this role, you will be assisting on projects across Sydney and NSW on the weekends. You will be supplied with the best surveying equipment and work with experienced Surveyors who will support your development and growth. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a progressive, global organisation, with a great team culture.

This position of Survey Assistant is offered on a casual basis, and as such, the availability of work may vary from weekend to weekend.

**Day to day tasks would involve**:

- Assisting with survey projects as required.
- Involvement in a variety of field surveys, including engineering and cadastral surveys.
- Assist with setting up and operation of survey equipment in the field.
- Assist with the recording of measurements in the field.
- Placement of survey marks and searching for original marks.
- Maintenance of survey equipment and ancillary equipment.

**Qualifications**

**To be successful for this role you'll need**:

- Currently studying a related course at TAFE or University (preferred but not essential)
- A genuine interest in Surveying.
- A keenness to get involved and learn from others.
- Strong level of communication skills.
- A positive & proactive attitude
