**ADVANCEMENT UNIT**
The role of the Advancement Unit is to encourage and secure philanthropic support from alumni and the community to meet the priority project, endowment, and capital needs of the University. Additionally, Advancement is responsible for building and maintaining relationships with over 27,000 Notre Dame Alumni.
**ABOUT THE ROLE**
The Advancement Officer (AO) is a front-facing role, responsible for supporting and ensuring the continuity and success of the Advancement Unit and empowers the work of Philanthropy, Advancement Services and Alumni Relations at Notre Dame Australia.
This role underpins the day-to-day operations of the office by assisting with the use of the CRM, assisting and making contact with donors, performing data mining, gift processing, budget management, records management, distribution of and assistance with EDM communications, the running of the office and reporting. This role is the primary point of contact for the Advancement Office, and provides the initial, positive and professional impression for inbound queries.

**SELECTION CRITERIA**
- Supportive of the Objects of Notre Dame as a Catholic University.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience as a professional primary point of contact, resolving concerns, queries and issues at the lowest level possible.
- A good understanding of data management, fundraising practices and alumni relations programs.
- Excellent attention to detail and a high level of integrity and professionalism, as well as a strong team player.
- Tertiary Qualifications in marketing, communications, data services, business management or similar field.
- Sound experience with data processing, records management, budget management, reporting, the processing of accounts, invoices and gift receipting.
- Experience in donor relations or relationship management with external stakeholders.
