Our residents are independent retirees who have sought the company and safety of living in a community of like-minded individuals with service provided that give them and their families the reassurance that they will be cared for if the need arises.

We have an opportunity for a Village Response Attendant to join our village located at Goodwin Close Retirement Village in Blackburn South, Victoria. Shifts will be weekends and afternoon shift with sleep over. Additional assistance will be required for leave coverage.

Duties will include responding to resident enquiries, overseeing our community facilities, conducting welfare checks on residents and referring them to our home care provider, assisting with our colourful events, responding to call outs, undertaking first aid and initiating emergency services where required such as Fire Warden and evacuating residents in case of fire. You may be required to assist with other tasks around the village as directed.

To be successful you will have the following:

- Hold a current Level 2 First Aid Certificate (or be willing to obtain)
- Be able to make critical decisions and remain calm under pressure.
- Motivated and able to take initiative
- Basic computer Skills (desirable)

Please note: The successful applicant must complete a Police Check, will be required to receive an annual flu vaccination between the months of April-October as well as provide proof of the COVID-19 Vaccination with supporting documentation prior to joining. For selected roles more physical in nature such as this position, pre-employment medical assessments may also be required prior to any employment offers being made.
