Downer **Rail and Transit Systems (RTS)** is proud to be announced as the preferred organisation to deliver the Queensland Train Manufacturing Program (QTMP). We are now looking for an experienced Engineering Design Manager to join our Built Form team.

Reporting directly to the Built Form Director, the role of the Design Manager is to oversee and manage the engineering design of the proposed infrastructure facilities required for the successful delivery of the rollingstock assets. This is a critical role that requires interaction with a range of internal and external stakeholders, often managing several project deliverables simultaneously.

This is a fulltime, permanent role, and will be based in Brisbane CBD, QLD. Some travel to Ormeau will be required as necessary

QTMP is the largest investment in new rollingstock in Queensland’s history. It includes the design, build, and maintenance of 65 brand new trains, design and build of manufacturing facilities and depots and a huge boost to local manufacturing and supply chain - a true legacy to be created for Queensland that you can be a part of

**About You**:

- Relevant tertiary qualification - Project Management or Engineering desirable
- 8+ years of experience in a design management function
- Experience in infrastructure projects highly desirable
- Strong communication skills
- Strong stakeholder relations skills and experience
- Ability to think creatively and solve complex problems
- Desire to lead, develop and grow others around you
