**About the Organisation**:

**About the Role**:
The Family Services Practitioner supports vulnerable children, young people, their families, and informal kinship carers, and has the flexibility to work across a range of Family and Community Services programs. Practitioners are focused on promoting best interests of children to ensure their safety and development.

**Selection Criteria**:
Demonstrated comprehensive family and carer assessment skills

Demonstrated skills in case management, active assertive outreach, and engagement with families

Demonstrated working knowledge and understanding of the Child, Youth and Family services sector including requirements of the Children, Young Persons and their Families Act 1997 and key legislative reforms

Demonstrated evidence informed understanding of child development, trauma, family and child assessment and risk assessment

Wholeheartedly aligned with Baptcare’s Mission, Vision and Values

A demonstrated understanding of the complexity of the child safety, out of home care, and family support systems, and the issues involved in providing services to clients involved in statutory services
