**ABOUT THE ROLE**

Kilcoy Global Foods (KGF) currently has permanent opportunities for Mechanical Fitters to join our team in a fast-paced, 24/7 beef production environment. Work environments will vary from agricultural, production, refrigeration, coal fired boiler and rendering.
- Preventative and breakdown maintenance activities, with a strong focus on a preventative approach
- Contribution of ideas and input to improved systems, procedures and maintenance
- Engage with the production team to optimise the performance of all equipment on a daily basis
- Assist in capital and continuous improvement projects as directed
- Maintain a strong focus on safety, health and environment
- Understand the urgent nature of the business and manage competing priorities
- Prioritise urgent repairs of equipment
- Understand the importance of troubleshooting and problem solving
- Coordinate and collaborate with contractors as well as other departments regarding reliable maintenance of the various sections of the plant

**REMUNERATION**
- Night Shift is $53.37 per hour with the opportunity for overtime, and extra shift pick-up.

**ROSTER**
- Night Shift | 16:00 - 04:00hrs
- 5 days on, 4 days off then 4 days on, 5 days off

**ABOUT YOU**
- Trade qualifications - Certificate III in Engineering as a minimum
- Experience in Maintenance Fitter or Fitter-Mechanic role
- Strong mechanical aptitude and great diagnostics for fault finding
- Reliable, motivated self-starter
- Can-do attitude, focusing on solutions
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent time management skills and communication skills
- FMCG or manufacturing environment (highly regarded).
- Beef slaughter process equipment (highly regarded).
- Associated downstream offal and rendering plant and equipment (highly regarded).
- Downstream processing (boning, chilling, packaging, labelling and transfer systems) (highly regarded).
- Unlimited working rights within Australia
- Ability to work alongside a diverse workforce
- Drivers licence and reliable vehicle, or
- Reliable means of getting to work
- Vaccinated (or willing to be) against Q Fever.
