**Bushland Team Member**

Citywide have an exciting opportunity for an individual to join our Open Space contract on the **Bushland Crew** with the **City of Bayside** which extends from Brighton to Beaumaris. You will be part of a close-knit and supportive team, managing both **remnant Sand Heathland and Coastal vegetation communities through a range of weeding techniques, ecological burning, revegetation works, pruning,** and all aspects of Natural Resource Management.

This is a full-time position based out of our depot in Moorabbin.

**Skills and Qualifications (desirable)**:

- A keen interest in conserving remnant plant communities
- Relevant trade or tertiary qualification i.e. Natural Resource Management, Environmental Management (or working towards)
- **Indigenous** plant identification skills including knowledge of weeds and their control
- Ability to operate and maintain horticultural equipment and tools
- Ability to supervise and coordinate volunteers, Friends Groups and community activities (an advantage)
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge and appreciation of OH&S
- Victorian Drivers License
- Proven ability to work in a team environment
- Ability to liaise with clients and customers and provide quality service and information to the public
- Ability to work weekend working bees with volunteers
