**The Company**

Our client is a renowned not for profit organisation with links to the hospitality industry, with a consolidated turnover of around 20 million. Due to natural staff turnover this CBD located business is now looking for a commercially focused and talented head of finance.

This role would start as soon as possible. As a genuine temp to permanent opportunity. They're looking for a leader who is invested in the long term.

**The Role**

Reporting to an approachable and strategic CFO, you will be leading a close knit team of 5 accounting professionals. Your main responsibilities will include.
- Review of month end
- Budgeting, forecasting and cashflow management
- Working with operational people on projects and general business partnering.
- Process and system improvement
- Successfully managing accounts receivable and payroll appropriately
- Lead grant funded projects
- Engage with the CFO in corporate governance matters, monthly reporting obligations and statutory reporting obligations
- Monitoring the financial performance of the business while providing high level cash flows on a weekly and monthly basis
- Key stakeholder management with department heads
- Preparation of yearly budgets and ongoing forecasting.
- Develop and implement improvements to the accounting system, processes, policies, and procedures to drive efficiency and timely reporting.
- Oversee the finance team, including managing staff performance, monitoring workflow, and promoting a positive team culture

**Your Profile**

Looking for an experienced senior commercial finance professional. A true people person, someone who enjoys partnering with operations, Someone who can provide the business with crucial insights and someone for with a keen eye for business improvements
- Available to start in the next 2-3 weeks.
- CA/CPA qualified
- High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency to make positive changes
- strong communication and inter-personal skills dealing with a wide range of stakeholders
- Able to lead the team in managing large data sets using various technologies and tools
