**ABOUT THE COMPANY.**

Our Client based in Mosman is seeking for a Payroll Officer to join Council on a long-term basis. With a total employee head-count of 170 staff, work alongside highly motivated HR professionals to develop your skills as a Payroll Officer.

**ABOUT THE POSITION.**

Immediate start - an initial 3 month opportunity with likelihood of extension and transitioning into a permanent role. Your role as Council's Payroll Officer is to process fortnightly pay runs and be accountable for any enquiries relating to payroll. As a member of Council's HR Division, you will also be involved in worker's compensation claims. Thorough handover provided upon immediate start.

**DUTIES.**
- Process fortnightly payroll functions (end-to-end)
- Assist Council for any payroll enquiries
- Calculations, taxation and reconciliations as required
- Involvement with worker's compensation claims

**SKILLS & EXPERIENCE.**
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in payroll processing (preferred)
- Experience in payroll processing in Local Council (preferred)
- Experience in Authority, TechOne and ACM (preferred)
- High level of attention to detail & problem solving skills
- Experience in payroll data capture, analysis and designing/generating reports
