**Hours - 22.8hrs per week, Monday - other 2 days are negotiable.**

**About Us**:
One Tree Defence Childcare Unit (OTDCU) and the Kindergarten Unit are seeking a skilled Maintenance Officer to join our team in the Western Suburbs. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the efficient delivery of maintenance services across our facilities.

**Key Requirements**:

- Minimum 3 years experience in maintenance roles.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Proficiency in report writing.
- Experience in building maintenance.
- Strong computer skills, including Excel and Word.
- Effective administration, time management, and organisation skills.
- Experience in customer service roles requiring efficient service delivery.
- Evidence of problem-solving skills.
- Driver's license required.
- Working With Children Check (WWCC) or willingness to obtain if needed.
- Trade qualification desirable.
- National Police Clearance

**Role Purpose**:

- Serve as the primary point of contact for maintenance issues within OTDCU and Kindergarten Unit.
- Provide operational support for all maintenance-related enquiries.
- Support the leadership team in ensuring efficient delivery of maintenance activities in compliance with company, regulatory, legislative, and contractual requirements.

**Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities**:
**1. Culture and Ethics**
- Work in accordance with the organisation's policies, procedures, values, and code of conduct.
- Act professionally and maintain confidentiality.
- Assist others when required.
- Report any issues affecting the organization.

**2. Maintenance**
- Coordinate efficient delivery of maintenance activities.
- Provide guidance to stakeholders on maintenance issues.
- Ensure projects are undertaken cost-effectively and timely.
- Monitor and report on maintenance projects.
- Uphold safety standards and observe WHS requirements.

**3. Management and Leadership**
- Comply with regulatory, legislative, and contractual requirements.
- Validate contractor works and ensure compliance.

**4. Reporting**
- Support reporting deliverables as per contractual obligations.
- Assist with planned and emergency maintenance requests.
- Develop a preferred maintenance supplier list.
- Report hazards, risks, or incidents promptly.

**5. Self-Managed Teams (SMTs)**
- Participate actively in CIT S-MT.
- Develop and review policies and documentation.
