Valve Technicians/mechanical Fitters Defence

We are currently looking for Valve Technicians or Mechanical Fitters to join our Score Group team, based at our facility in Wangara.

**About the role**
The Valve Technicians/Mechanical Fitters will join our team and will be responsible for carrying out overhauls, tests and recertification on different types of valves and actuators as directed by the workshop team lead in line with company, HSE and Quality standards.
Working with our Production or Defence teams, you will be based at our a facility in Wangara, Monday to Friday, workshop hours are 7.00am to 3.30pm. Overtime is available and remote site work for shuts as and when required by the client.

**Primary Responsibilities**
- Carry out PSV overhaul and recertification
- Strip, assess and re-build, complete in-depth inspection reports for all types of valves including Ball, Globe, Gate, Choke, Check, Butterfly, Control, Safety etc. in both workshop and site based environments
- Strip, assess and assemble all types of valve operators
- Carry out pressure tests to various industry specifications
- Work under own initiative and part of a team
- Work safely and adhere to Company safety systems, standards or any other requirements from customers or their sites
**Qualifications**
- Technical qualification in a mechanical discipline is preferred
- Machining capability and Forklift License would be advantageous, but not essential
**Experience**
- Previous experience as a mechanical fitter in a workshop environment is essential
- Previous work experience repairing valves is highly desirable but full training on valves will be given
