Bayport have been industry leaders in Civil Engineering, Property Development, and large-scale Landscaping for over 50 years. We have an exciting opportunity currently available for a full-time, experienced leading hand landscaper to join our enthusiastic and highly skilled team.

This is a hands-on position within the Civil / Commercial landscape field on projects ranging from $50K to $5M. You will have current experience in a wide variety of projects from start to finish, with an emphasis on exceptional staff management, logístical co-ordination, project reporting & scheduling, quality control and completion of projects within timelines and budgets.

This role will continue to evolve and incorporate a range of responsibilities including being accountable for the site activities in the absence of the Landscape Supervisor, running smaller sections of projects autonomously and mentoring less experienced team members.

- Is competent in all aspects of landscape construction
- Has a strong work ethic, a positive attitude and who is reliable and respectful
- Is able to read, understand and follow landscape plans
- Has a genuine interest in and passion for landscape construction
- Has a high level of attention to detail and who takes pride in their work
- Is a confident communicator
- Can mentor and supervise other staff and contribute positively to the team

Responsibilities for this position would include, but are not limited to:

- Site preparation, including demolition and some earthworks
- Setting out services such as irrigation and drains
- Constructing hardscapes including walls, paving, decking, screens, rock work and concrete
- Constructing softscapes including turf / synthetic turf, topsoil, planting and mulching
- Possible maintenance works
- Communication with clients, subcontractors and suppliers
- Ensuring works are completed to a high standard
- WHSE knowledge & commitment to maintain a culture of safety
- Driver’s License
- Working with Children Check
- Construction Induction Card
- Minimum 3 years relevant experience within the landscaping industry

This is a full-time position and remuneration will be negotiated based on qualifications and experience.

**Salary**: From $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
