**Location**: Werribee based with potential for a hybrid work arrangement

**About the role**
As a Team Leader Public and Environmental Health, you will contribute to the success of the Environmental Health Unit through active teamwork, effective leadership and performance to ensure that Council’s obligations in respect of infectious disease, food safety, public health and the environment are carried out effectively and efficiently.

You will coordinate action, facilitate outcomes and monitor EHO staff involvement in addressing Council’s legal obligations relating (but not limited) to relevant legislation.

**What your day will look like**
- Monitor parameters around the work to be done by the team to ensure quality standards, targets and customer service requirements are met
- Continuously improve work and implement systems to ensure efficiencies
- Ensure the work completed is compliant with set quality standards and operating procedures and legislative requirements
- Facilitate work within the team and with the other team/s to ensure support is provided when needed
- Supervise, lead and coach staff in a way that contributes to an efficient, effective and focused team to operate with a strong customer focus.

**What you will bring**
- Tertiary qualification in Environmental Health
- Knowledge and ability to lead, coach and mentor staff and facilitate team outcomes
- Knowledge and familiarity of budgeting and financial monitoring of services delivered
- Current Drivers Licence
- Knowledge of Proclaim systems
- Relevant extensive experience in government Environmental Health Sector
- A continuous improvement mindset with a positive, proactive, and flexible attitude
