McLean Farms is a family-owned business with a reputation for quality. We seek employees who are looking for long-term employment in the Poultry Industry. The roles would see you work within a team based environment, ensuring the welfare of domestic poultry, to support the efficient production of a high quality point of lay pullets.

You will be required to perform daily feeds, water, temperature and welfare checks in poultry sheds.

**To be successful in these roles, you will possess the following credentials & attributes**:

- Willingness to strictly adhere to the required animal welfare guidelines and regulations;
- Minimum of 2 years' recent experience and relevant work experience in a commercial poultry production enterprise is essential;
- Minimum of 2 years' recent experience with bird husbandry is essential;
- Technical proficiency with poultry rearing systems would be highly regarded;
- The ability to follow established practices and complete activities on site to attain the best possible productivity;
- Current valid drivers’ licence;
- Strenuous physical activity may be involved, and therefore a robust physical nature is required to successfully fill this role;
- Be prepared to work as part of a team, but be able to work autonomously when required;
- Willingness to adhere to all health and safety, bio-security and operational requirements;
- Must be reliable, punctual and motivated;
- Good attention to detail;
- Good organisational and time management skills, with the ability to carry out a range of different tasks.

You may be required to work reasonable overtime to meet operational demands. You must be able to work weekends and public holidays as per a rotating roster.

**You must not have any birds, pigs or poultry at home, and you must not regularly come into contact with birds, pigs or poultry in order to work at McLean Farms.**
