Daikin Australia is seeking a relationship focused and skilled negotiator to work in close collaboration with our affiliates across the globe in the procurement of materials and services.

This position will report to the General Manager - Supply Chain, IT and Procurement. Working with an innovative and enthusiast leader that is driven to create value by identifying and working closely with stakeholders and suppliers to strengthen our relationships and build on synergies to achieve competitive pricing and services. This enables Daikin to deliver increased value to its customers and shareholders.

About the Role

This role will be strategic in nature and will be taking the lead in the implementation of best practice in procurement and negotiation practices. As the role will be working with a diverse group across the globe, the ideal person will be culturally aware of cultural norms in the context of negotiation to achieve a win-win outcome.

About You
- You will demonstrate ‘people first’ leadership.
- You will possess project management skills and your organisational skills are second to none.
- Strong people skills and can build rapport and relationships with all levels of the organisation.
- Strong negotiation skills and achieves a balance in achieving commercial outcome and maintaining positive relationships.
- You don’t stand still, always seeking way to improve and develop professionally.
- Strong understanding of global laws and procurement practices
- Highly desirable are skills in Microsoft Excel, SAP, Qlik Sense and Microsoft Suites.
