**Job description**
**General Maintenance Technician - Food Production (Full time)**

We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced General Maintenance Technician to carry out general maintenance and repair duties in our production facility.

**Responsibilities & duties**
The successful applicant will report into the Production Director and will be required to:

- Perform and manage ongoing preventative and scheduled maintenance
- Complete documentation & adhere to a monthly maintenance schedule
- Assist contractors in higher level maintenance when required
- Attend to breakdown maintenance
- Report any issues on the production line to the Production Director
- Follow & adhere to OH&S and food hygiene standards
- Work on the production floor if and when required

**Required skills**
The successful applicant must possess the following skills:

- Basic electrical knowledge
- Connnect reconnect licence - preferred
- Ability to operate a lathe and a milling machine for basic repairs
- Forklift licence (preferred)
- Ability to perform MIG and TIG welding for minor repairs
- Strong work ethic
- Great communication skills
- Ability to work in a multicultural team environment
- Able to work overtime when required
- Have experienced mechanical background

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: From $42.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Overtime
- Weekend availability

Supplemental pay types:

- Overtime pay
