Maintenance Technician

This is a Permanent Full-time role.

This role is based on site at our Moorebank FC in NSW

Catch is part of the Wesfarmers OneDigital division, which brings together Wesfarmers’ digitally native businesses: OnePass, OneData and Catch. This division is responsible for enabling Wesfarmers data and digital growth ambitions and increasing customer lifetime value.

We are now hiring a Maintenance Technician to join our new Fulfilment Centre based in Moorebank NSW. This is where the magic happens The Fulfilment Centre strives to provide a high level of customer service and get orders out in a timely manner to our loyal Catch customers.

Reporting to the Facilities and Maintenance Manager, you'll be responsible for providing technical assistance and support regarding all projects, installations, proactive and reactive maintenance across the Fulfilment Centre.

What you’ll be doing

What does a normal day in the life of a Maintenance Technician look like? Well, no 2 days are alike at Catch, but you could probably expect your day to include some of the following things:

- Assisting with the implementation of work schedules governing the planned maintenance and upkeep of machines and equipment installed in the warehouse
- Repair and maintenance activities of warehouse machines and equipment relating to periodical schedules as well as reactive breakdowns
- Contribute to relevant operational projects that are aimed at improving efficiencies and output of the department
- Work effectively with all stakeholders and assist with contractor management, ensuring the fulfilment centre is a productive, positive, and promotes a safe operating environment
- Adhere to safety standards all times with proactive and reactive reporting.
- Ensure the optimum performance of automated fulfillment systems by upkeeping the systems on site (Korber AMR gird, CMC automated boxing machine and Damon Warehouse Conveyor System WCS)
- Assist in installation and configuration of roller belts, conveyor systems for dispatch and handling of orders from the warehouse

What you’ll bring to the table?
- Relevant and current trades license (A Grade Electrician preferred)
- Qualifications in electro-mechanical engineering (Mechatronics is highly desirable)
- Demonstrate knowledge concerning general safety protocol and procedures regarding site operations
- Knowledge and experience of the maintenance and repair of conveyor and mechanical handling equipment
- Experience in repair and maintenance of technical systems in a production
- Exposure to large sites and dealing with time sensitive issues and concerns, resulting in a quality customer satisfaction experience
- Working knowledge of automated multi shuttle fulfilment systems is preferred
