Role Overview:
As a Blood Collector, you will be responsible for visiting patients in the comfort of their homes to collect specimens for pathology testing. Your role is crucial in ensuring accurate and timely diagnoses for our patients. We provide thorough training and support to equip you with the skills needed to excel in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

- Collect blood specimens from patients in a professional and compassionate manner
- Process specimens for analysis across multiple laboratory departments
- Perform data entry and maintain accurate records of laboratory procedures
- Assist in the maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment
- Collaborate with laboratory staff to troubleshoot technical issues and implement solutions

Qualifications:

- Certificate III in Pathology Collection
- Bachelor's degree in Science/Biomedical Science or equivalent qualification
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in pathology collection
- Valid driver's license
- Own vehicle preferred
- Valid car insurance
- Willingness to drive around Canberra, ACT
- Flexible hours, including after-hours (preferred)

- Salary Rate: $27.00 - $35.00 per hour permanent part time position.
- Travelling allowance entitlement is $0.96 cents per Kilometre.
- Reimbursement for parking expenses, if required, is also available.
