Northpark Private Hospital is seeking Food Services Assistants to join our Catering team on a casual basis. In this fast paced and varied environment you will take pride in your work, have a friendly and positive work attitude and a commitment to customer satisfaction.

**About us**

Northpark Private Hospital is one of the largest private hospitals in Melbourne's northern suburbs. Northpark provides a full range of surgical and medical services including a dedicated mental health unit, a full service maternity unit including mother and baby services.

Northpark Private Hospital is located on the corner of Plenty Road and Greenhill's Road Bundoora, close to public transport and onsite parking is available.

We are currently redeveloping our sister Hospital Latrobe Private and as part of our Food Services Team you will have the opportunity to work across both sites.

**As a Food Service Assistant your responsibilities will include**:

- Assist in daily food preparation and basic meal assembly
- Deliver, serve and collect all patient food requirements and meal trays
- Assist in general cleaning of kitchen equipment and utensils including dish and pot washing as required.
- Act as a valued member of an interdisciplinary team by promoting a professional and positive team culture.
- Provide high standard of customer service
- Operate in line with WHS policy & procedures
- Deliver excellent customer service to staff, clients and patients

**Essential Criteria**:

- Previous experience in a hospital hospitality setting (desirable)
- Food Handler Certificate or Certificate III in Hospitality (desirable)
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene requirements
- Excellent time management skills
- Commitment to service excellence.
- Strong communication and customer skills
- Attention to detail
- Work well independently and within a team
- Flexibility / Ability to work early/ late shifts and weekend work
- Available for on call shifts
- Must have a police check dated in the last 12 months
- Must have a Working with Children’s Check
- Must provide Serology testing dated in the last 12 months
