An exciting opportunity has become available for a Principal Consultant to join our Workforce Strategies team in Sydney, focusing on psychosocial safety and mental health risk management for a wide range of clients across all industries. Reporting to the Managing Principal, Workforce Strategies, you will partner with clients to create mentally healthy spaces for their people and reduce the incidence and impact of psychosocial risks. Your focus will be to work with clients on implementing an enterprise-wide mental health strategy, that centres on identifying potential workplace psychosocial risks, understanding critical driving factors, and designing specialised interventions to prevent and mitigate negative impacts to the workforce and organisation.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced Health and Safety practitioner with a passion for improving mental health literacy looking for a new environment, or a psychologist with tertiary qualifications in safety and/or risk management looking to move into a consulting role. This position will give you the ability to travel within Australia and you will occasionally be required to stay overnight or for multiple nights.

**We will count on you to**:
- Provide clients with solutions to their health, safety and psychosocial risk management problems, specifically focusing on the impact of psychosocial factors
- Analyse client needs through the use of data and analytics, as well as listening to client needs
- Recommend suitable strategies, approaches or options based on analysis
- Prepare accurate proposals and project plans, including tender responses to varying levels of complexity based on client needs
- Deliver end to end mental health and wellbeing programs
- Lead or participate in the project and deliver against project plan including to scope, time and budget
- Complete review and measure results against scope and plan, ensuring client satisfaction
- Maintain strong day to day relationships with clients and client executives on projects
- Follow, promote and facilitate the project management processes and procedures on all projects in accordance with the Marsh SOPs
- Comply with company policy and procedures for timekeeping, expense reporting, invoicing and management of debtors
- Support line manager in mentoring consultants and assist in peer reviewing their activities as required
- Seek opportunities for self and colleagues to develop new skills and broaden and deepen knowledge
- Produce consulting revenues based on revenue targets and utilisation rate
**What you need to have**:
- Tertiary degree in Occupational Health and Safety
- Qualification in Psychology highly regarded
- Psychosocial Safety and Mental Health experience
- 8+ years’ experience in WHS advisory or related role is desirable
- Thorough knowledge of WHS legislation and current issues in WHS
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Interpersonal and leadership skills for the purposes of coaching, mentoring and interacting with clients and colleagues
