**What You Will Be Doing**
The primary purpose of the Clinical Coding Trainer/Educator role is to support the training of new coders. The Clinical Coding Trainer/Educator provides support to the coding team by ensuring HIMs and Clinical Coders are provided with up to date guidance on disease and procedure classification according to Commonwealth and State advice. The incumbent is accountable for the provision of coded patient data, participating in coding service quality improvement activities, combined with maintaining professional links within Peninsula Health.
Position Description
**What You Need**
We anticipate you will have:
- Excellent knowledge of clinical coding principals and standards of the National Funding Model
- High level of expertise in clinical coding and experience using the current edition of ICD10AM
- Bachelor of Health Information Management or equivalent
- Knowledge of medical record systems including computer systems_ (desirable)_

- Please refer to Victorian Health Sector (Allied Health Professionals) Single Interest Enterprise Agreement 2021 - 2026 salary circular for salary range. Sub-grading will be based on years of experience.
