Position Overview
Moldflow and Fusion 360 Injection Molding Simulation capabilities are greatly enhanced when the polymer being simulated has had its properties accurately captured. The Autodesk Materials Lab achieves this by utilizing dedicated equipment and test procedures that measure material properties specifically for this purpose. This allows a wide range of materials sent by customers across the world to make use of high-end injection molding simulation analyses.
We are looking for a Laboratory Maintenance Engineer to join the Autodesk Materials Lab team in Kilsyth, Melbourne. The Laboratory Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for the planning and scheduling of equipment maintenance and calibration. They will work with equipment suppliers and the lab team to provide time effective solutions to any issues that arise. Importantly, they will be a key driver within the lab safety team to maintain a safe work environment. Additionally, when required they will be involved in process improvement and research collaboration projects.
**Responsibilities**:
- Planning and scheduling of equipment maintenance and calibration, typically via communication with equipment suppliers- Involvement in equipment and supplies purchasing- Troubleshooting and resolution of equipment issues- Key member of Safety team- Process improvements and potential research project involvement- Assisting material testing activities when possible
Minimum Qualifications- Solid experience in CAD software, Fusion 360 beneficial- CNC and machining experience- Advanced troubleshooting skills- Focus on safe work principles- Fluency Oral & Written English- Passion to improve processes- Willingness to learn and help where required
Preferred Qualifications- Tertiary Engineering qualifications (Manufacturing, Mechanical or Electrical) beneficial- Previous experience in laboratory equipment maintenance
