**About the role**

As the Planning Officer (Open Space) you will be part of the Infrastructure and Environment team and will be responsible for supporting the Team Lead (Open Space and Facilities) in the preparation of planning documents, strategy, and policy for the development of open space networks, recreational and sporting facilities in Ipswich City.

Some of your key responsibilities will include:

- Undertake the development of site-specific master plans and land management plans for Ipswich Cities numerous open space networks, recreational and sporting facilities.
- Assist with the ongoing development and prioritization of the strategic level capital works program to inform the development of the annual capital works delivery portfolio.
- Assist with the development of strategy, guidelines, policy, and procedures relating to Ipswich Cities numerous open space networks, recreational and sporting facilities

**About you**

To be successful in this role you will have:

- Level 4: Eligibility to or currently undertaking a course of study that is recognised by the Australian Institute of Landscape Architects (AILA) which will lead to accreditation as a Registered Landscape Architect.
- Level 5: Professional qualifications in Park Planning, Landscape Architecture, Urban Design, or equivalent experience.
- Level 6: Professional qualifications in Park Planning, Landscape Architecture, Urban Design, or equivalent experience.
- Substantial postgraduate experience in landscape architecture including contract administration is desirable.

This is a full time fixed term (12 months) appointment at Level 4 - 6 with a salary package commencing at $82,260 plus superannuation of up to 12.25%.
