About the company & the role
We are currently supporting our client, a large global law firm who is expanding their talent advisory team here in Australia. Use your passion for HR advisory / business partnering and add early careers program management to your skillset. Based in Melbourne or Sydney this role will contribute to the execution of the early careers’ development strategy reporting into the Early Careers Program Manager co-ordinating the program management for all interns and graduates once they have accepted the offer and joined the organisation. Partnering with them and guiding them through their rotation programs across Australia and at times overseas rotations where possible.
**Key tasks would include**:
Organising the Career Tracker programme for Australia, designing an engagement strategy and re-designing the on-programme experience to ensure development is mapped to their experience level
Executing the Keep Warm strategy for incoming graduates from Sept-February to ensure they are all engaged with the firm including organising the national welcome event
Sending pre-joining comms to all incoming graduates in the lead-up to Induction & assisting with the facilitation of grad induction
Liaising with College of Law to enrol all graduates in the PLT, book meeting rooms for assessments, ensuring they are on track for completion and partnering with the Legal Partners to ensure smooth rotations
Resource planning for all graduates across Australia; organising their six monthly rotations into different departments throughout their graduate programme
Reviewing graduate utilisation figures and discussing with their Manager/ Partners. Holding conversations with Supervisors to understand utilisation and any performance concerns
Offboarding processes and exit interviews - collating feedback, identify and trends and suggest solutions or improvements
Assisting with embedding the DE&I and Wellbeing strategy/initiatives into the graduate programme
Assisting with tracking costs on the graduate program budget - tracking spend and providing projected costs for annual budget process
Being the point person in the business for the early careers’ cohort supporting them as needed and making sure they rotate successfully through their program
About you
**Success in this role would ideally need**:
A track record in an HR advisory or Consultant role or involvement in program management within Early Careers
Excellent communication skills, able to navigate a matrix structured organisation
Intermediate excel expertise
Great communication & presentation skills
Experience of collating and managing data for reporting
Experience of providing advice and coordinating across programs
Partnering experience, working with the team, the hiring leaders and the interns & graduates in the business
An understanding of HR policy and procedures
