We currently have an exciting opportunity for a values-driven and proactive Casual Shop Assistant to assist the Store Manager to provide customer service, accomplish retail sales and maintain floor stock of the Family Store in line with TSA mission & values.

All profits made go to funding vital community activities and programs within the community and the Corps.

About the role

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a values-driven and proactive Casual Shop Assistant to assist the Store Manager to provide customer service, accomplish retail sales and maintain floor stock of the Family Store in line with TSA mission & values. This role will develop staff members in order to deliver surplus to support Corps activities as a valued mission expression of the ministry of the Salvation Army.

You will successfully
- Serve customers in the store, in ensuring they have a good experience and are assisted in their purchases
- Promote TSA mission and services where appropriate
- Keep the store properly stocked and well presented
- Complete the opening & closing process in a timely & accurate manner

This is a CASUAL position based in Bonnells Bay Family Store, NSW. Salary and conditions are in accordance with the General Retail Industry Award L3.

You will have
- 1 year experience in retail and/or customer service
- Proven experience in the recycling/transport industry a desirable
- Self motivated and a strong work ethic
- Sound presentation and communication skills (both oral and written) to be able to interact and network positively with a variety of people
- Ability to prioritise tasks and manage time effectively
- Team player, flexible with a positive attitude
- A national police record check
