**Job Summary**

Martinus is seeking a Project Financial Analyst on our Albury to Parkes Project. You will be responsible for the financial planning, reporting, and control of a major rail infrastructure project. You will ensure financial compliance, accurate cost forecasting, and support executive decision-making through detailed analysis and reporting.

**Tasks and Responsibilities**:

- Develop and maintain project budgets and financial structures in line with the approved reset budget, ensuring alignment with project delivery goals.
- Monitor, track, and analyse costs associated with labour, plant, materials, and subcontractors to maintain financial accuracy and detect variances early.
- Prepare and submit analytical financial reports (monthly, quarterly, and ad-hoc) for internal stakeholders, providing insights into cost performance and project profitability.
- Support project forecasting by regularly updating financial projections based on real-time data and revised cost estimates.
- Ensure compliance with financial terms outlined in project contracts, including financial obligations and cost-related clauses.
- Identify financial risks and opportunities through proactive analysis, assisting in mitigation strategies and reporting potential budget overruns.
- Evaluate and track cost variations and change orders, integrating them into the financial control system and forecasting impacts on project budgets.
- Assist with semiannual and annual financial closings and contribute to audit preparation in accordance with internal policies and accounting standards (e.g. IFRS knowledge).
- Collaborate with commercial, engineering, and project management teams to gather cost data, support procurement decisions, and ensure accurate reporting.
- Ensure consistency in cost coding and internal reporting systems, working with accounting tools such as COINS and Excel-based financial models.

**Qualifications and Experience**
- Bachelor of Accounting
- 7 years of relevant experience
- Advanced computer skills
- Excellent communication skills dealing with a variety of different stakeholders
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Ability to consistently produce accurate information at a fast pace
- Well-honed and can manage competing deadlines
- Ability to drive improvements and efficiencies through innovation and self-initiative
- Ability to develop and maintain positive relationships
- COINS Construction Industry Software
- Experience in Felix vendor Management platform
- Experience in using or migration of data from SAP Business by Design, SAP Concur and MYOB Advanced
