**Gold Foundation** is a not-for-profit organisation providing support for young people on the Autism Spectrum via social skills, life skills and social group programs. We are currently looking for passionate and enthusiastic individuals to join our team as **Support Facilitators.**

Support Facilitators help young people on the Autism Spectrum live healthier and more fulfilling lives through identifying and supporting their individual needs and goals. Social Skills support facilitators focus on teaching skills and developing the confidence of young people needed to succeed at home, at school, or in the community. These skills center primarily on activities of daily living, social interactions, and emotion regulation. Support Facilitators work collaboratively with either Lead Facilitators or other Support Facilitators, with each program ranging from 2-4 facilitators at each session.

**This role consists of duties such as**:

- Planning and facilitating activities within a social group with a focus on inclusion and encouraging participation
- Co-supervision of all participants at the program, implementing positive behaviour support when needed to maximise personal development and group cohesion

**What we are looking for**:

- Excellent communication/people skills
- Must relate well to children and their families and maintain positive affect
- Positive attitude with high energy that has genuine interest in and understanding of Autism.
- Working with Children Check (required)

Students working towards a degree in Occupational Therapy, Psychology, Speech Pathology, Counselling or equivalent are encouraged to apply.

Please note that we are looking for individuals who are available and willing to work on Wednesday and/or Friday afternoon/evenings.

**Job Type**: Casual

**Salary**: $30.00 - $32.00 per hour
