We pride ourselves on creating memorable moments for our guests, whether they are enjoying a casual meal, celebrating a special occasion, or hosting a corporate function. **The Role**: As the Venue Manager, you will be responsible for the overall operation and success of Waters Edge. This is a hands-on leadership role that requires a strategic mindset and a keen eye for detail. You will be instrumental in maintaining our high standards of quality, service, and profitability. **Key Responsibilities**: - **Operational Management**: Oversee all aspects of daily operations, including front-of-house, kitchen, bar, and function areas. - **Team Leadership**: Recruit, train, mentor, and manage a high-performing team of hospitality professionals. Foster a positive and productive work environment. - **Financial Performance**: Manage budgets, control costs, and drive revenue growth. Analyze financial reports and implement strategies to improve profitability. - **Customer Experience**: Ensure every guest receives an exceptional and memorable experience. Handle customer feedback and resolve any issues promptly and professionally. - **Event & Function Management**: Work closely with clients to plan and execute successful weddings, corporate events, and private functions. - **Compliance & Safety**: Ensure the venue operates in full compliance with all health, safety, and liquor licensing regulations. - **Marketing & Promotions**: Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and execute promotional activities to attract new customers and retain existing ones. - **Inventory & Supplier Management**: Manage stock levels, place orders, and maintain strong relationships with suppliers. - Proven experience in a similar management role within a high-volume hospitality venue (bistro, restaurant, cafe or function centre). - Strong leadership and team management skills with a track record of developing staff. - Excellent financial acumen and experience with budgeting, forecasting, and P&L management. - Exceptional customer service and communication skills. - A passion for food, wine, and delivering a premium dining experience. - A "can-do" attitude and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. - Up-to-date knowledge of relevant industry regulations and best practices. - A flexible approach to working hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays. **Why Join Us?** This is an exciting opportunity to lead a well-established and highly-regarded venue in a beautiful location.
