Overview
Perth Modern School, a proud public school, is Western Australia's only fully selective school for academically gifted students in Years 7 to 12. The school honours rich traditions, empowers those present and shapes the future for gifted and talented learners and leaders. Staff emphasise the importance of connection and relationships in the process of listening, thinking and learning together. We partner with students, families, carers, and alumni, to successfully navigate change and improve student outcomes; a community where everyone belongs. In the early years, this means ensuring every student is known and understood, their needs and unique potential nurtured. As students progress, they are supported as self-motivated learners and leaders who are courageous, curious, compassionate, committed and collaborative, encouraged to pursue their dreams, and resourced to achieve both academic excellence and positive wellbeing.
Perth Modern School is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Manager Technology and Communications with strong interpersonal and technical skills to join our dynamic team.
Responsibilities
In this leadership role, the successful applicant would be responsible for designing, planning, implementing and managing the school’s Information and Communication Technology (ICT) network and infrastructure, including audio-visual requirements at the school’s performance venues. You would develop, implement, monitor and review ICT and security policies and procedures to ensure robust data protection. Additionally, you will oversee risk management, contingency planning, system backups and disaster recovery processes. This role may include the management of a small team of ICT and performance venue technical staff, and external contractors. As the primary technical advisor for the school’s ICT administration, this role involves close collaboration with the Manager Corporate Services, the ICT Committee, and central office. Strong communication skills and the ability to confidently engage with a diverse range of stakeholders, including educational staff and external providers, are highly regarded.
