The Peer Worker position is a based with Drug and Alcohol service and will provide inreach services to Mental Health Team. The role is to enhance outcomes for individuals with a dual diagnosis.

The position requires the person to have a lived experience of mental health and drug and/or alcohol issues. The position will provide an effective link between consumers/carers, clinicians and services, with a focus on improving the consumer journey and treatment outcomes whilst providing advocacy and support.

The Peer worker will be able to develop strong and effective stakeholder partnerships, including liaison with families and/or carers. The position may be expected to travel across the district as needed and may be required to work afterhours.
