We are seeking a capable and motivated Logistics Officer to support the team at Parklea Correctional Centre.
Our Logistic team Member has day-to-day responsibilities for warehouse / logístical operations, meal deliveries, stock control, stock rotation and management.
**Some of the Logistics Officer responsibilities are to**:
- Physically and electronically receive and unload supplies delivered to the warehouse
- Open boxes, creates and other containers to ensure good received are in line with the purchase order
- Assist in maintaining quality of stock received by assessing it at the time of delivery - 3-way checking
- Delivery of meals and stock inside the centre and to inmate
- Physically check outgoing orders
- Sort and place stock on racks, shelves or in bins according to
- Requirements within the warehouse and your designated area
- Move stock and meals across the Centre using forklifts, various
- Material handling equipment and trailers
- Carry out quality control activities to ensure work is being performed
- Efficiently and in accordance with instructions and procedures
- Always maintain safety and security within the warehouse
**Skills & Experience**:
Ideally, we are seeking individuals who are:
- Previous warehouse experience (desirable)
- Forklift license (desirable)
- Strong time management skills
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written
- Passionate about working within a team environment
- Able to prioritise tasks to ensure completion of outcomes
**Mandatory qualifications and requirements**:
- Must obtain appropriate security clearances from New South Wales Police and Correctional Services New South Wales
- Must meet the physical requirements of the role and pass a medical assessment; due to the demands of the role, applicants who consume alcohol excessively, abuse prescription drugs or consume illicit substances are unsuitable
- Must obtain and maintain a First Aid accreditation in the form of a current Statement of Attainment for HLTAID003 Provide First Aid
- Safe food handling certification, or ability to obtain and maintain.

- Show adaptability, perseverance and courage in achieving required objectives under pressure and in the face of challenges
- Take ownership, pro-actively achieve objectives and continuously improve
- Ability to work in a complex environment with competing demands
- Ability to operate in accordance with NSW Government laws and regulations
- Ability to gain and retain all the police/security clearances required within our industry
- Ability to pass any required health and medical assessments
- Ability to visit and work within a correctional or regional processing centre
- Proven right to work in Australia
- Willingness to undergo alcohol and drug testing as required of the business from time to time
