Casual Babysitter Needed for Afternoon

**Our Family**:

- Hi there, we are a family of six with two working parents. The father works in IT Consulting from home, and the mother is a clinical planner working out of the home two days a week in a hospital and working from home another day. We are looking for someone to mind our kids on Wednesdays (3.30 to 5pm - would pay 2 hours) after school while we both are working from home and either a Sunday or Friday evening (tbc 4.30 to 7.30pm - just trying to figure out which tennis class we will do) while we play tennis during the school terms. We have another babysitter who works on 1.5 days (Tuesday PM and Thursday). Our kids are all quiet and introverted and during the times in question would mostly be watching TV and not needing too much assistance, and so mostly needing someone to supervise our two youngest (three and five years old). The older two are nine and 12 and won't be wanting to interact much with the babysitter and will have their own things to do. About our kids 12 year old girl - our oldest. She's starting high school this year and enjoys reading, making jewellery, art, maths, piano / clarinet, and wants to be a writer one day. 9 year old boy - going into year four, super tall and *very* into electronics. Is super smart and wants to be an engineer. 5 year old girl - she's our singer / dancer and loves to paint and do play doh. I've been told she's like Bluey but I feel she's more of a muffin. Super sweet and caring to her little brother. Quite bossy to her older siblings. She's in charge. If she's happy it's an easy day. 3 year old boy - the sweetest little guy. Pretends to assert his rights but he just wants to play with his older siblings and will do anything for their attention. Can be persuaded to do anything an older sibling is doing, he just wants to copy them. Currently obsessed with super Mario odyssey (copying his brother) and is somehow surprisingly good. Has the loveliest smile and his current goal is to be able to do handstands. He's a lovely little guy and lots of fun.

**Your Duties**:

- This time of day is mostly just sitting with the 3- and 5- year old as they rest after their days at school or play. They are allowed to watch TV and play the switch at this time and that's what they'll want to do. They won't do well with much more stimulation than that at the end of the day. They are both toilet trained, but the 3 year old needs help to sit on the toilet / wipe and the 5 year old still needs some assistance wiping her bottom if she does a poo but is very vocal about when this would be happening and is super independent and so does not want any further help other than what is exactly required. As parents we will be home on the Wednesday and most likely would help out with the bathroom duties unless on a work phone call.

**Our Perfect Caregiver**:

- We would like someone who lives close by and is happy to come by for these two 2-3 hour periods over the week and who would have availability for at least the next 12 months. Availability on other days would be a bonus but not required to fill this role. With notice it will be okay not to work every week as we can arrange family cover if other events come up and so it's okay if there are some weeks that these hours would not work for plans you may already have or want to make. We need someone who is responsible, but there's no pressure to do activities as the kids will be tired. No meal prep or cleaning, as we will take care of that.
