About the role
Permanent Full time opportunity to manage, on a daily basis, all general Patient Food Service kitchen and Ward duties, and ensure a safe, timely and professional meal service is provided to all patients at STARS.
About you
- Coordinate and oversee the work practices of Patient Food Services staff to ensure all tasks are carried out safely, effectively and efficiently to meet relevant standards, food safety, workplace health and safety, risk management and current legislative obligations.
- Manage and participate in the delivery of in-service training as required ensuring compliance with all mandatory training requirements of reporting staff are met.
- Monitor staff levels and skill mix to ensure appropriate shift coverage is maintained.
- Comply with the STARS Food Safety Plan ensuring food safety, quality and personal hygiene are maintained at all times. Report any food safety hazards or issues to the Site Coordinator/ Manager.
