Accounts Receivable Officer

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Accounts Receivable officer to join our team in Sydney. You will support our Finance department to contribute to the success of the company by providing accounts receivable services and expertise.

**Key responsibilities**:

- Follow up overdue invoices for allocated customer accounts
- Process the receipt of customers payments in the accounting systems
- Provide Ageing reports (debtors spreadsheets) of overdue payments to Finance manager on daily, weekly, monthly basis
- Resolve debtor queries and payment discrepancies
- Liaise with operation and customer Service divisions in regard to non-payments and customer discrepancies
- Reconciling customer Accounts
- Proactively work as part of the ZIM Integrated shipping organization to assist other team members and departments to achieve the organizational goals and objectives
- Communicate to all internal and external stakeholders, including ZIM Head office and Banks
- Represent the ZIM Liner division both internally and externally
- Ad hoc tasks as directed by the Accounts Manager/Finance manager

**Requirements**:

- TAFE Certificate (essential)/ Tertiary qualifications in Commerce or Accounting
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in Accounts Receivable
- Exposure to shipping operations (desirable)
- SAP System experience (desirable)
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
- Fluent in English - both written and spoken
- Ability to work towards a deadline
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
