Role:
We are looking for the right individual who is enthusiastic, reliable and has a genuine desire to make a positive impact in someone’s life.
Co-resident is a unique role to enable a young lady to live independently in her own home located in Swan View. You will work closely with Identitywa and the family to provide a healthy and fulfilling life for this person.
It is a live-in role where you will assist the lady with all aspects of her day-to-day life, including personal care, community access, meal preparation and home cleanliness. The young lady is diabetic which is well controlled with diet and insulin administration, so an understanding of healthy meals or diabetes would be preferable but not essential. Please note the house is a smoke-free environment.
The support roster is 3 days (72 hours) on and 6 days off, working with a great team in rotation. Your income will be from $58,000 with reimbursement for travel costs and higher rates on weekends.

As the co-resident you will:

- Be a sole trader with an ABN, or be willing to obtain an ABN
- Have an NDIS worker screening check
- Have a current First Aid qualification
- Have a reliable vehicle with comprehensive insurance
- Have previous experience supporting people with disability
- Nursing or diabetes experience preferable but not essential
