The Service Leading Hand is responsible to carry out duties as directed by the Service Forman & or Production Manager in a safe and timely manner.

Responsibilities Included but Not Limited To
- Disassemble and assemble the Conventional and MESABI® cooling systems.
- Repair/overhaul conventional coolers.
- Assess, Repair, Rebuild, Strip, Clean, Flush, Test parts and components for radiators.
- Follow all safe working practices, utilising the correct PPE in accordance with the SDS sheets.
- Follow safe high-risk practices using forklifts and cranes (lifting plans and TAKE 2/5 to be done prior).
- Carries out all duties directed by the Service Supervisor in a safe and timely manner as per guidelines and procedures.
- Follow all SWI (shop work instructions), SP (standard procedures) and QAI work instructions (quality assurance instructions) as directed. Must be able to recognise quality deviations & faults.

GENERAL
- Present for work on time and in a fit state for the shift.
- Observes safe work practices such as wearing PPE and following safety procedures whilst looking out for their colleagues.
- Maintains a high standard of housekeeping in all areas as directed as part of Lean.
- Actively participates and contributes to the continuous improvement and innovation of L&M work practices.
- All work-related injuries, incidents and hazards are to be reported immediately to a supervisor.
- Works individually and as part of a team to meet operational goals.
- Assist in other areas of production as needed and qualified.
- Completes computer-based duties as required

Performance Measures
- Attends all pre-shift, toolbox and safety meetings.
- Completes prestart checks to ensure machinery is safe to operate.
- All work-related injuries, incidents and hazards to be reported immediately to management.
- Process improvement projects/activities and system audits
- Positive and collaborative contributions during team meetings.
- Follows all QA, QAIWI, SP, SWI and SWP practices.

Person Specification (Essential Competencies)

Experience/

**Qualifications**:

- Sound mechanical knowledge/aptitude_._
- Use of Overhead Cranes and Rigging Knowledge_._
- Knowledge of the imperial measurement system_._
- Experience working on heavy duty equipment, automotive equipment and radiators_._
- Use and Knowledge of handheld power & air tools_._
- Basic computer and software knowledge_._
- Understand of Safe Work Practices/Stop Work Instructions/JHAs/Risk Assessments.
