Commercial Analyst, Sydney

**Role Purpose**:
Reporting to the Senior Manager, of FP&A and Commercial, this is a 12 month contract role to support all revenue related activities of the Australia business whilst the current Commercial Analyst is seconded to an SAP implementation project. Revenue activities include the full order to cash cycle of customer maintenance, revenue analysis and forecasting, billing and collections. This role works closely with global cross functional finance teams, internal stakeholders and external customers to ensure an effortless customer experience while maintaining accuracy and proper revenue recognition for all billing transactions.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

**Commercial**:

- Work with the Senior Manager to prepare and/or review client pricing and proposals to ensure client fees are in line with company policies and strategies
- Record accurate revenue within global revenue system, taking into account appropriate revenue policies and reporting standards.
- Analyse sales system data and work closely with internal stakeholders to forecast annual sales and update regularly in global revenue system.
- Prepare and analyze financial reporting to provide guidance for data driven decisions including stakeholder regular and ad hoc reporting, global FP&A monthly revenue analysis and revenue forecasting

**Invoicing/AR**:

- Work with the leadership team, revenue system and client’s invoicing portals to prepare all client invoices
- Maintain customer master file and build relationships with external clients to reduce and assist in partner/client queries regarding invoicing and collection matters
- Maintain accuracy, integrity, and completeness of the accounts receivable portfolio by ensuring regular reporting of outstanding receivables to internal stakeholders, resolving invoice disputes and collecting past due receivables.
- Ensure all billing follows appropriate controls to remain compliant with governing financial and tax regulations.
- Prepare and analyse accounts receivable reporting including billed and unbilled aging reports and DSO analysis.
- Review of ancillary billing activities such as client expenses

**Other**:

- Maintenance of the Cost Centre Management system
- Assist and provide ad hoc reporting as and when required

**About you**:

- As an extraordinary individual, you will have the below qualifications and skills:

- A bachelor of Accounting qualification and/or partly through or completed CA/CPA
- Solid Excel and Microsoft Office skills
- 3-5 years strong commercial and accounting background experience
- Experience in a professional services firm preferred but not essential
- Experience with CODA preferred but not essential
- Thrive in a fast paced environment with an ability to multitask
- Take initiative, be proactive and have a high degree of accountability
- You are a strong team player, collaborative, and flexible.
