**About the opportunity**
The Draftsperson reports to the Drafting Manager and is part of the Complete by McDonalds Jones Homes team. In this highly rewarding role, your focus will be to produce detailed documentation through modelling new designs in CAD. More specifically, your responsibilities will include:

- Liaise with the Drafting Manager for the effective and efficient development of new designs
- Produce quality drawings for new designs
- Prepare Production sets of siting/approval/construction plans in compliance with nominated controls.
- Ensure compliance with design requirements, company procedures and building codes, regulations & industry standards are achieved
- Liaise with internal stakeholders within the group to achieve a coherent project and resolve any identified issues
- Maintain knowledge of relevant building codes for compliance with Australian Standards and the National Construction Code (NCC) of Australia

**About you**
You will share a passion for our purpose and be aligned to our core values; better together, be accountable, people matter and think bigger. In addition, you will:

- Previous experience working in a similar role within the residential construction industry
- Certificate 4 or equivalent in architectural drafting
- Proficiency in ArchiCAD
- Knowledge of current housing codes, regulations the NCC and related construction practices
- Demonstrate an innovative approach to solving problems
- High attention to detail
- Approach all processes with a continuous improvement mindset
