Leidos Airborne Solutions Australia provides fixed-wing maritime surveillance services under contract to the Australian Border Force. This is the world’s largest outsourced civil maritime surveillance operation, patrolling Australia’s 8.2 million square kilometre Exclusive Economic Zone.

**Job Description**:
Working in a highly dynamic environment, our passionate, mission focused team are made up of people from diverse industry backgrounds. You will command a highly modified aircraft, with the most advanced technology ever to be integrated into a civil surveillance platform and work with a highly skilled team.

As a captain with the surveillance team, you will provide essential leadership and support to your entire crew, working diligently, quickly, and professionally, to ensure that each mission is a success. As a member of the training and checking team you will play a critical role in the professional development of Dash 8 pilots while conducting training and checking activities in the aircraft and simulator.

**Qualifications**:
**Essential**
- Australian citizen with current passport
- CASA Class 1 Aviation Medical
- Australian ATPL(A)
- 2000 hours total time
- Multi-crew, multi-engine, turbine engine aeroplane command experience
- Experience as a trainer in a Part 138 or 121 (CAR 217) training and checking system
- Australian Flight or Simulator Instructor Rating endorsed with DHC8
- Eligibility for both an Aviation Security Identity Card (ASIC) and Australian government security clearances

**Desirable**
- Surveillance or SAR flying experience
