A full-time permanent Procurement Transformation Manager role has become available in the Procurement & Property (P&P) team at AGL. In this newly created role, you will effectively and proactively lead the development and delivery of the Procurement Transformation program at AGL, creating an uplift of procurement capability across the organisation and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.

What you’ll be doing:
Reporting to the GM Procurement and Property, you will:

- Develop and own the Procurement Transformation program at AGL and help to create a culture of continuous improvement
- Be a key contributor to defining and driving the strategy of P&P Services and ensuring we are developing the capability of the team
- Working with the General Manager of P&P, develop Executive level reports, presentations, and dashboards to illustrate the procurement transformation journey
- Help drive an overall uplift of procurement capability both within the P&P team and across AGL
- Work closely with the P&P teams to design and implement strategic direction for a best in class end-to-end Procurement environment
- Influence team members and stakeholders to adopt to the new ways of working
- Lead the implementation of agreed strategic procurement transformational initiatives and associated change management programs to successfully uplift procurement maturity and effectiveness through delivery of system automation, enhanced reporting analysis and insights and risk mitigation
- Positively create a culture that encourages the development of a high performing team aligned to AGL’s purpose & values.
- Lead and influence key business stakeholders across AGL to deliver continuous improvement outcomes

About You

You will be an experienced procurement professional, who can influence inside and outside of procurement teams, with the ability to interact and challenge at senior management level. You will have a strategic mindset and understand the strategic drivers and how to link to goals and performance. You will have highly developed interpersonal and communication, and a demonstrated capacity to develop viable business cases.

What you’ll bring to the table:

- Proven experience in large complex procurement environments, including time in leadership / strategic roles
- In depth understanding of best practice procurement policies, processes, systems, sourcing, contract management and supplier data management
- Proven ability to lead transformation and change
- Highly developed knowledge of developing strategic plans
- Strong analytical, conceptual and project management skills
- Strong understanding of risk management
- Tertiary qualification in Commerce/Finance or related field
- Post graduate qualifications are desirable in supply chain management, contracting, procurement, business administration, economics, finance or accounting
