**About the Opportunity**
Are you a passionate and driven Intern ready to build a strong foundation for your clinical career? Monash Health invites you to join our 2026 PGY2 Generalist Stream, a program designed to provide broad, hands-on experience across diverse clinical settings.
Our PGY2 positions are ideal for those seeking a well-rounded clinical year that supports career exploration, skill development, and professional growth. Whether you're aiming for a specialty training pathway or simply want to deepen your clinical acumen, this program offers the structure, support, and variety to help you thrive.
We are the only health service in Victoria offering Obstetrics & Gynaecology rotations within the PGY2 year while still meeting the PGY2 framework requirements—giving you a rare opportunity to explore this specialty early in your career.
You must be eligible and have registered with the PMCV for the PGY2 match and preference Monash Health #1.
**About the Role**
A generalist PGY2 program with 4 x 13-week rotations across:
- Undifferentiated illness care
- Chronic illness management
- Acute and critical care
- Service term ( 25% of the year)
- Exposure to both metropolitan and regional/rural hospitals
- Participation in after-hours, weekend, and on-call rosters
- A supportive environment focused on education, supervision, and career development
**About You**:
- You must have completed your PGY1 (Internship) by the start of the 2026 clinical year
- You must be eligible for General registration with AHPRA or the Medical Council of New Zealand by the start of the 2026 clinical year
- You must have completed your primary medical degree from an Australian university (including Monash Malaysia)
**Mandatory requirements of the role**:
- Current Drivers Licence
