**Salary**:Clerk Grade 5/6, Salary from $97,027 to $107,059pa. Plus, employer contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading.

**Your role**
- The Inspector of Custodial Services is appointed to inspect adult correctional facilities and youth justice centres, and report to Parliament on the findings of these inspections. The Inspector also oversees the Official Visitor Program in correctional facilities and youth justice centres. This is a unique opportunity to work closely with the Inspector of Custodial Services, contributing to the effective oversight of custodial facilities across NSW.

**What you’ll do**
- Contribute to inspections conducted by the Inspector of Custodial Services by conducting research projects as directed and participating in the development, design, collection and collation of information and data to support effective analysis and evidence
- based recommendations of the Inspector of Custodial Services.
- Provide support to the Inspector of Custodial Services and the Official Visitor program.
- Manage the monitoring and reporting of recommendations and assist in the preparation of the Annual Report.
- Collect, collate, analyse and evaluate information and data.
- Establish and maintain a research data base.
- Prepare research reports and briefs to support inspections.
- Locate and review various data sources and manipulate diverse and incomplete data sets into meaningful research outcomes.

**What we’re looking for**
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience.
- National Criminal History Record Check in accordance with the Disability Inclusion Act 2014
- Working with Children Check clearance in accordance with the Child Protection (Working with Children) Act 2012
