**Casual Trades Assistant - (Casual Worker or Subcontractor)**

Ray Turner Technologies is a local, family-owned electronic security company based in Forest Lake. We specialise in residential installations, small business systems, and construction projects across Brisbane’s western suburbs, Ipswich, the Gold Coast, and beyond.

We’re currently looking for a **reliable, hands-on Casual Trades Assistant** to join us on an **ad-hoc, as-needed basis**. This role is **not full-time**, and **there is no guarantee of consistent hours** - ideal for subcontractors or workers seeking flexible side work.

**What You’ll Be Doing**:

- Assisting with cabling, mounting of devices, basic tool use, and support for system testing and commissioning
- Attending various job sites - from homes and small businesses to construction projects
- Adapting to different work conditions including outdoor work, ceiling spaces, and working at heights

**Who We're Looking For**:

- **Reliable & Self-Sufficient** - Ideally, you’ll have your own transport (Ray Turner Technologies may be able to arrange pickup if you're local), consistently show up on time, and be ready to get stuck in.
- **Physically Fit** - The job can be demanding
- **Tool Smart** - Confident and have prior experience with basic hand tools and battery tools

**Subcontractors Welcome**:
We’re also keen to hear from **subcontractors** who are:

- Fully insured (public liability & workers comp where applicable)
- Comfortable with **flexible fill in or additional work**

This is a great fit for tradies picking up extra work, or someone looking to build experience in electronic security alongside other jobs.

- **Above award casual rates**, paid weekly for casuals and promptly upon receipt of invoice for Subcontractors

**Note**: This is an **ad-hoc position**. Work is offered based on project demand and availability. There is **no guaranteed minimum number of hours.**
