- Downer Professional Services is comprised of two business units, our Technical, Advisory, and Capability consulting practice and Team Downer, a major service partner to Defence. Together, we are a
multi-disciplinary advisory and delivery partner of choice for our clients in Defence and National Security.
- We currently have an opportunity for a System Manager in Canberra to work on Joint projects **.**

**What You’ll Do**
- This role offers a broad scope, with key role responsibilities including:
- Manage and deliver sustainment activities in line with CAF16 mandates, including acquisition and refresh coordination.- Oversee vendor performance and contract compliance, ensuring effective system and contractor management.- Coordinate engineering certification, security accreditation, and system change management processes.- Engage with stakeholders such as ADF system sponsors and users to support capability assurance.- Lead financial and risk management efforts, addressing obsolescence and emerging issues impacting system ownership.

**What You’ll Bring**- Experience in Air Force and/or ADF capability acquisition and sustainment management.- Strong understanding of operational aviation environments, including methodologies, tools, and governance.-
- Background in information technology and/or military project management.- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
- Due to the nature of the work, you are required to currently hold and maintain a minimum ** Negative Vetting 1** or higher Security clearance as required by the Commonwealth. In some instances, compliance with ** International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR)** requirements may also be an inherent requirement.
