This established Melbourne based Railway Signalling Services Company provides specialist support to the rail industry throughout Australia. Due to increased growth and demand, an exciting opportunity exists for Construction - Railway Signalling.

You will report to the Construction Manager and your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

- Signalling construction activities, off site box building/fitout/wiring as well as on site electrical construction activities;
- Liaising with the design team;
- Understand signalling design plans, review documentation and provide constructive feedback. Implementation of final designs;
- Understanding the need for engineering design to be in accordance with customer specs as well as be cost effective, manufacturable, reliable, maintainable and safe;
- Provide and take leadership responsibility in health, safety and environment management;
- Contribute to development of work methods and plan daily/weekly production work;
- Complete progress reporting, and activities, reports for shift handovers and consistent regular reporting to the Superintendent or Project Manager;
- Development of Bill of Materials for projects;
- Working towards competency for Test Assisting; and
- Co-ordinate and compile as constructed drawings to supply to design team for as built plans preparation.
- Experience in similar roles within the signalling construction industry (preferably in SMT / Signalling Electrician);
- Ability to adhere to processes, systems and procedures including having an exceptional attention to detail;
- Enthusiasm and the ability to multi-task;
- Experience with MTM and V/Line standards and procedures is desirable;
- Sound Microsoft Office skills and experience in working with a variety of document databases is essential;
- A professional approach, sound interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to liaise at all levels are critical to the success of this position;
- Ability to work under pressure and to be able to prioritise, multi task & manage different priorities at any given time;
- Team player, cooperative with other team members with sharing of information and knowledge; and
- Flexible working hours during peak delivery periods.

This is a great opportunity to work with a well-known and respected organisation within the Railway Signalling sector. There is an attractive salary on offer however, it will be commensurate with demonstrated skills and experience.

**Salary**: $110,000.00 - $146,000.00 per year
