Essilor is looking for a Instruments Technician to sit within our Operations Team and is responsible for ensuring instruments such as VisionOffice, Tracers and Eye Ruler are received, prepared and customised for our clientelle specifications. This role will also be helping with the installation, maintenance and technical support of our Essilor instruments in our customers practices. A Electrical Reconnect or Disconnect License would be highy adventageous in this role however not essential.

Main Responsibilities

Ensure instruments (Visioffice, tracers, Eye ruler for example) are received, prepared and customised according to customer’s specifications

Install and set up in client practices with support from Essilor IT.

Deliver training to customers and sales representatives on equipment

Technical support over the phone and face to face to assist customers with issues or requests for new services

Identify and implement ways to improve systems, process and equipment generally

Skills & Experience Required

Communication skills

Basic skills in mechanical trade and electrical

Electrical Reconnect/disconnect license would be a plus

Knowledge on software such as Office suite and CMMS and network configurations

Knowledge on PLC and computer controlled manufacturing machinery

Flexability to travel within Australia
