**About the Role**

As a Junior Cyber Security Analyst, you will be responsible for monitoring, analysing, and responding to security incidents and threats that could impact our clients' environments. You will work closely with other security professionals to develop your skills and experience. Your role will involve threat detection, vulnerability management, and incident response to protect our clients from cyber-attacks. You will need to be able to work within a Security Operations Centre which provides 24/7 monitoring and response for incidents, requiring on-call support.

This is a hybrid role to be based out of our Osborne Park office in Western Australia. It reports into the Security Operations Centre Team Lead.

**Main Duties**
- Monitor the enterprise environments of multiple clients for security incidents using Microsoft Sentinel, performing triage or escalating incidents to senior analysts to ensure timely resolution
- Conduct monitoring and triage of customer environments for vulnerabilities utilizing Vulnerability Management tools like Tenable
- Escalate true positive detections to Security Analysts, SOC Leadership, and/or customers
- Help create monthly reporting that spans across cyber security incidents, advisories and vulnerability management
- Deliver services according to service targets (SLA's) and quality standards
- Follow ITIL practices regarding service request, incident, problem and change management
- Contribute to SOC continuous improvement program
- Communicate effectively with customers, teammates, and management
- Participate in incident response as part of the clients CSIRT
- Assist clients by providing supporting information for their external audits
- Assist with customer enquiries & escalations

**About You**

We are looking for someone who has a passion for cyber security, a natural flair for customer orientation & the ability to think logically. The position will require someone who is a creative and tenacious problem solver, will think beyond the status quo and will own issues until full resolution. Possessing at least one current Microsoft Security certification or equivalent security certification from a recognised provider is highly desirable. Key skills & experience include
- Cyber Security Graduates are encouraged to apply. Any level of internship experience in cyber security is desirable.
- Strong communication and relationship building skills with both internal teams and external customers
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritise work to maintain required productivity levels
- Solid analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving abilities
- Great written and verbal communications skills
- A tertiary qualification and/or industry security certifications
- Highly motivated to succeed in a fast-paced environment, coupled with a desire to take on responsibility
- A strong fundamental understanding is desired in the areas of Network Fundamentals, Cybersecurity Basics, Security Tools, Incident Response, Threat Intelligence and Log Analysis
