**Role accountabilities**:

- Contribute to the development of program test strategies.
- Build a testing team with adequately skilled people.
- Develop test plans aligned to the test strategies that will define suitable test phases and appropriate test tools, while being mindful of tester skill levels and testing stream budget.
- Estimate required time, resources, staff training, and budget for completing testing phases.
- Manage testing team resources to execute all test phases (solution, system integration, performance, security, user acceptance, regression and production verification).
- Ensure appropriate test environment setup so that testers can start their work by providing required hardware and software tools.
- Prepare and submit detailed test reports to describe testing outcomes and collaborate with internal department and external vendor resources in the remediation of defects.
- Keep constant communication with the internal department teams and external vendor teams to keep track of new requirements to assess their impact on the test plans.
- Schedule regular status meetings and get feedback from the testing team as well as send status reports to the Program Delivery Director.
- Align to the department Information Technology Directorate (ITD) processes for compliance against documented standards and provide input to improvement programs that enhance the quality of services to the business.

**Key requirements**:

- 3+ years of experience as a Test Manager in HCM system implementations.
- 5+ years of experience as a Test Manager in a large private and/or public sector organisation.
- Excellent knowledge of the various testing types and automation tools.
