Position title: BIM ENGINEERING MANAGER

TRANSCEND CONSULTING GROUP PTY LTD

Full-time position

TRANSCEND CONSULTING GROUP specializes in digital rebar detailing and buildability concepts, identifying practical and efficient solutions to clients’ needs across concrete structures in civil and structural engineering. Services include BIM technical services (modelling), buildability studies and clash reporting, digital scheduling, estimating, project management, lean assembly workflows and solutions and engineering consulting services, commercial and infrastructure. We are seeking an experienced BIM Engineering Manager to work on high-profile building projects, with the opportunity to develop a successful long-term career.

The key responsibilities of this role will include:

- Working with clients and projects in an effective workflow preparation of new projects in line with BIM and general engineering standards, schedules, and budgets.
- Working with senior management to progress new methodologies and technology advancements and service offers.
- Deliver project planning, progress and close out reports across Group projects.
- Prepare and manage budgets and reporting for projects and ongoing work fronts.
- Ensure ongoing conformity with document outputs from BIM models, complying with relevant specifications, regulations, and safety standards.
- Supporting and auditing team and processing non compliances.
- Producing reports to senior management identifying BIM implementation and progression within projects.
- Training and upskilling colleagues in software programmes and developments.
- Proactively, participates in driving the Digital Engineering culture within the company and is keen to support and mentor younger colleagues in the DE space
- Keeping up to date on technology developments and implementing updates within team.
- Supporting IT with hardware compatible purchases.
- Raising and developing BIM profile internally and throughout projects.
- Working with relevant stakeholders to drive methodologies in line with design, manufacturing and fabrication requirements and best practice.
- Overseeing maintenance and upgrades to software and hardware.
- Reporting directly to Technical/Design Manager when deployed on specific projects
- Cooperatively, interacting with Project Managers / Design Managers / Design Leads/ Consultants and Design Engineers in various jobs to achieve project and scope objectives and maintain composure even during periods of high pressure

Qualifications, skills and experience required:

- Architecture or Engineering qualification or industry experience in lieu
- At least 8 years’ experience in design or construction BIM role in underground projects
- Specific BIM training certification - Revit - desirable
- Conversant with Civil 3D, Dynamo and Inventor
- Experience with AutoCAD and have competent IT skills and the ability to use multiple discipline software
- Excellent verbal and written language communication skills
