**Your new role**:
As Data Integration & Analytics Lead you will be responsible for managing a team of BI and ODI developers to deliver enterprise reporting for whole of Maritime. You will be also be responsible for building and maintain the Data warehouse for the organization, adopting best practices for data management and data governance.
You will also be responsible for overseeing the delivery of solutions to a diverse range of areas in an evolving environment - working with uncertainty on a regular basis and ability to handle risk, rising to challenges whilst remaining outcome focused.

**In terms of specific responsibilities, you will**:

- Be responsible for building, managing and maintaining data flows via interfacing between core systems to support ship building.
- Play a critical role in establishing enterprise wide reporting to enable timely decision making
- Liaise with key stakeholders to assist them to communicate and interpret reporting to support decision-making
- Manage and develop recommendations on support requests and drive continuous improvement strategies to customer problems and queries.
- Manage upgrades to system(s) including developmental and corrective maintenance.
- Plan and monitor integration activities.
- Perform and validate solution prototyping.
- Design solutions that are consistent with architectural and business needs.
- Ensure integrity, efficiency and security requirements are met and adhered to
- Provide coaching, training and guidance to the data and information community on data and analysis
- Provide thought leadership towards key enterprise wide dashboards and analytic solutions
- Stay up to date with the latest analytics methods and data model design practices

About you

**As an ideal applicant for this opportunity, you'll have**:

- Leadership style that influences people at all levels both internally and externally
- Ability to build ongoing positive and constructive relationships with key stakeholders and motivate individuals and teams across a number of business areas
- Background in reporting, data governance and data warehousing in an Oracle Datawarehousing environment.
- Understanding of ETL and data modelling technologies
- Previous experience working with Enterprise Reporting Systems like - Cognos BI/Tableau/ Power BI/ Oracle BI
- Ability to balance conflicting priorities to deliver against customer and business requirements, with appropriate stakeholder management
- Ability to negotiate with and influence internal and/ or external stakeholders in a way which generates business benefit whilst maintaining key relationships
- Can do and flexible attitude with excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong communication skills coupled with ability to interpret complex technical issues to requirements and functional solutions would be an essential skill

A Degree level qualification in IT disciplines related to data management and database management and design is desirable in the role.

As Defence security clearance is required for this role, applicants must be Australian citizens and eligible to obtain and maintain appropriate clearance.
International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) are applicable and as such, your nationality may be a factor in determining your suitability for this role.
